RBG Roofing Ltd has been working across Abergavenny and the wider Forest of Dean for more than 36 years. In that time, our roofers have dealt with the wet, windy conditions that sweep across the hills around the town, and the many different property types beneath them. That experience lets us find the true cause of a problem quickly and fix it correctly, without costly trial and error. We are not a large national firm that hands work between subcontractors. The people you speak to are directly involved in your project, and every finished roof reflects on our name. Whether the job is large or small, customers get the same level of attention from start to finish.
Roofs in Abergavenny vary widely from street to street. Traditional stone cottages and Victorian terraces near the town centre often have older slate or tile coverings where nails have rusted, and slates have started to slip. Mid-twentieth-century properties often suffer from crumbling ridge and hip mortar, while newer homes on the edge of town can develop problems with worn verge and flashing details after a few harsh winters. We have come across all of these in Abergavenny and nearby areas, including Usk, Coleford, Chepstow and Caldicot. Once we know what is wrong, we fix it for good, from a single tile replacement to a complete re-roof.
Roofing is only part of what we do. As a full roofing and building contractor, we also handle repointing, lead flashing, fascias, guttering, and damp treatment. Having one dependable team manage everything means fewer phone calls for you, no clashes between different trades, and work that fits together properly. Whatever state your roof is in, we will put it right at a fair price and to an agreed timetable. One call gets the whole job moving. We are used to everything from terraces to riverside homes, and give each job the same attention.
If you need a new roof fitted or existing damage repaired, we use quality materials to deliver lasting results. We finish each installation to a high standard so your property stays protected for years.
Rather than covering up surface marks, we trace ongoing damp back to its source. Our service keeps your building dry and healthy over the long term, protecting the property’s structure and the comfort of the people living in it.
Whether a chimney needs worn brickwork repointed or a full rebuild, we restore its strength and weather resistance. Chimneys are a frequent cause of leaks, so we check and repair them carefully.
Water often shows up far from where it enters, so we locate the entry point before we begin any repair. Treating the cause helps prevent the leak from returning. Acting quickly also stops a minor drip from becoming a bigger, more expensive job.
We fix ponding water and leaks on flat roofs using tough, long-lasting materials. This suits extensions, garages and dormers that need dependable weather protection, and the finished roof is built to cope with year after year of British rain.
Low-maintenance fascias and guttering keep water away from your roofline and walls. We fit hard-wearing uPVC systems, usually completing the installation in a single visit for a neat, complete finish.
